Newly Enacted Laws from the 2017 Georgia General Assembly (and the Bills that were Vetoed)
July 18, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Presented by The Georgia Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society. In 2017, the General Assembly passed a large variety of laws related to guns, tax credits, driverless cars, craft breweries, medical marijuana, and police officers. Many were signed into law by Governor Deal, while others were vetoed. The American Constitution Society believes that the law should be a force to improve the lives of all people. Join in for a discussion on which bills became law and which did not during the 2017 legislative session, and how the lives of Georgians will be impacted. Featuring: State Senators Josh McKoon and Elena Parent, State Representatives David Dreyer, Stacey Godfrey Evans and Sam Park. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. The program will follow at 7:00 pm. For questions on the day of the event, please contact John Kraus at 404.323.4444. Free to attend at Bondurant, Mixson & Elmore, LLP, One Atlantic Center. You can get info and RSVP at https://events.acslaw.org/rsvp?id=a0Y0f00000F6sxg&campaign=lcemails&mgs1=c631p5pR80
